NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED AMENDMENT TO THE STATE HIGHWAY 205
OVERLAY DISTRICT ORDINANCE
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN TO ALL INTERESTED PERSONS, THAT:
The Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of McLendon-Chisholm, Texas, will hold a public hearing to consider a proposed ordinance amending Article 5, "Special Districts," Section 5.2, entitled "State Highway 205 Overlay District" of the City's Zoning Ordinance.
The proposed amendment relates specifically to provisions governing temporary signs within the overlay district. The amendment will modify regulations to allow for an additional temporary sign per tenant or unit and establish a requirement that such signs be removed within thirty (30) days following the issuance of a Certificate of Occupancy.
A public hearing will be held by and before the Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of McLendon-Chisholm, Texas, on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, at 6:30 p.m., at McLendon-Chisholm City Hall, located at 1371 West FM 550, McLendon-Chisholm, Texas 75032, for all persons interested in the proposed amendment.
Following the Planning and Zoning Commission public hearing, the City Council of the City of McLendon-Chisholm, Texas, will hold a public hearing to consider adoption of the proposed ordinance on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, at 5:30 p.m., at McLendon-Chisholm City Hall, located at 1371 West FM 550, McLendon-Chisholm, Texas 75032.
